L egal Stories of Life contains 7 paintings to mark the beginning of its 6 chapters and another one with the table of contents. Each of the paintings is specifically commissioned in accordance with the theme of the respective chapters of the book. Association of the internationally proclaimed painters with the book has given the book a unique dimension. Research claims that no law book in the world has such a unique dimension.  While being unique, the paintings focuses on the story telling by the famous painters and make the book rich from a cultural perspective. The authors objective of establishing strong link between law and culture have been tremendously strengthened by the presence of such paintings.
Name of Painting : A Family
Name of painter : Rafiqun Nabi
Description of the Painting: A great piece of work from his family series telling the story of closely connected family relationship in the Bangladeshi society.
Chapter : Family Law
Rafiqun Nabi (popularly known as Ronobi) is a famous Bangladeshi artist and cartoonist. Known for his woodworks, his acrylic paintings, water colours and his cartoon character ‘Tokai’, Nabi is widely respected as a master artist largely responsible for taking Bangladeshi art to the international arena. He has been honoured with Ekushey Padak along with numerous national and international recognitions.

Monirul Islam is one of the most illustrious Bangladeshi artists mostly living in Spain since 1969. In his kaleidoscopic journey of over 50 years in art, he has developed his unique style, which is known as “Monir’s School” in Spain. At the home front, his informal and buoyant language places him at the apex of the present art scene. Height civilian award and National award for arts in Spain and Ekushey Padak in Bangladesh are only to name a few out of his numerous awards and recognitions around the world.

Rokeya Sultana is a visual artist and is a professor of Department of Print Making, Faculty of Fine Arts, the University of Dhaka. She has been awarded with numerous awards and recognitions both locally and internally for her fine arts. Her paintings are exhibited in the museums in the USA, Egypt, Norway along with Bangladesh National Museum.

Mustapha Khalid Palash, is one of the leading contemporary architects of Bangladesh. He is also an avid musician and painter. Vibrant colours and fragmented shapes give his works a kaleidoscopic appearance. He has several painting exhibitions and have received numerous local and international honours and awards for his achievements.

Name of painter : Jamal Ahmed
Description of the Painting : Chittagong Port being the lifeline for international trading in Bangladesh, tells the story of commercial activities.

Jamal Ahmed is a Professor of the Institute of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was a visiting teacher at the North Carolina State University and Visiting Artist in Residence, U.S.A. Jamal Ahmed has exhibited in Japan, Poland, UK, USA, India, Pakistan and innumerable times in Bangladesh. He has won coveted awards and acclaim both at home and overseas. His works are in public and private collections worldwide.
